These Terms apply to your use of the Website/App and booking services. By accessing the Website/App or making a booking, You agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website/App.

1. Overview

These Terms form a legal contract between you and City Housekeeping Limited ("we", "us", "our"). We may update these Terms, so check them regularly.


2. How We Operate

  • We connect customers with Housekeepers/Service Providers.

  • Service Providers are responsible for delivering the booked service; City Housekeeping is not a party to this contract.

  • We facilitate the transaction and maintain the platform; we are not employers of Service Providers.

  • Payments are collected by us as agents, and a service fee is retained.


3. Definitions

  • Website/App: www.cityhousekeeping.com

  • Booking: A booking for services via the Website/App

  • Services: Cleaning or home services listed on our platform

  • Housekeeper/Service Provider/Professional: Home services providers available through our platform

  • You: A user of our Website/App


4. Use of the Website/App

  • You must provide true, accurate information during registration and update it if needed.

  • You must not impersonate others or use false names.

  • We reserve the right to modify or withdraw the Website/App or change these Terms.


5. The City Housekeeping Services Platform

  • We act as an agent for independent, self-employed Service Providers.

  • We conduct checks, but do not guarantee completeness or accuracy.

  • You use Service Providers at your own risk and must provide a safe environment.


6. Booking Services

  • You must be legally capable and at least 18 years old.

  • Prices may be hourly or per job, with a minimum two-hour duration for cleaning services.

  • You must provide accurate project information and history of items involved.

  • You are expected to provide basic equipment like hoover, mop, and bucket.

  • Bookings are confirmed via email; a contract forms only after our confirmation.

  • Pre-authorisation of your payment card is required; full payment is charged on or after the service day.

  • You must not bypass our platform to hire Service Providers privately; doing so can result in account termination.


7. Price and Payment

  • Prices are as quoted unless special requirements apply.

  • Parking fees and external window cleaning are extra if needed.

  • Payments are charged after job completion; unpaid amounts may incur a £10 monthly fee.

  • Minimum payments apply regardless of actual time spent.

  • You must maintain a valid payment method.

  • Promotional offers apply to new customers only, with specific conditions.


8. Booking Cancellation by Us

We may cancel any Booking or terminate your access if you violate the Terms.


9. Booking Cancellation by You

  • Cancel at least 48 hours before a Scheduled Job to avoid charges.

  • Same Day Jobs can be canceled within 15 minutes.

  • Late cancellations incur a fee of 50% of the booking value (max £150).

  • If access is unavailable at your property, the full booking amount will be charged.


10. Insurance

  • We hold £5m public liability insurance, with customer-paid excesses starting from £250.


11. Third-Party Links

We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from our platform. Use them at your own risk.


12. Privacy and Data Protection

  • We process your data in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

  • You warrant the accuracy of the information you provide.


13. Liability

  • Complaints must be made within 48 hours after job completion.

  • We only act as mediators in disputes, providing recommendations.

  • Liability is limited to the purchase price paid in the previous month, except in cases of death, injury, or fraud.

  • Coronavirus Clause: You must inform us if exposed to Covid-19. Failure incurs a £600 fee for the cleaner to self-isolate.

  • We are not liable for indirect losses (e.g., loss of business or data).

  • Force Majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, strikes) may delay performance.


14. Events Outside Our Control

We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our control.


15. General Terms

  • Intellectual property belongs to us; use is limited to personal, non-commercial purposes.

  • Compliance with laws is required.

  • Notices will be sent via email or post, with timing as per standard rules.

  • Contracts cannot be transferred by you without our consent; we may transfer rights.

  • If any term is deemed invalid, others remain in force.

  • Entire agreement supersedes previous communications.

  • English law applies; disputes are subject to English courts' jurisdiction.
